Sharing and roles
To share a screenplay in Scenaloom, choose Share in the script header and invite people by email with a role, or set general access so anyone with the link can read or edit. Collaborators work on the same draft in real time, and nothing is shared until you share it.
Roles and what they can do
- Owner: full control, including access settings, publishing and moving the project to Trash.
- Admin: manages collaborators and project settings.
- Editor: writes, comments and uses the AI tools.
- Viewer: reads, and exports if the owner allows it. The project shows Read only.
Each member can also carry a creative identity — Screenwriter, Director, Producer, Editor or Actor — so the team knows who does what.
Invite collaborators
- Choose Share in the script header, or open Team in the Writing panel.
- Enter an email address and pick an invite role: Viewer, Editor or Admin.
- Send the invitation. Once accepted, the person appears among the collaborators.
Change a member's role from the list, or remove them; they lose access immediately and you can invite them again later.
Share links and general access
- Invited only: just the people you invited.
- People with the link can read it.
- People with the link can make changes.
- Anyone on the web can view: a public, read-only script page.
Allow viewers to export decides whether readers can download the script.
Working together in real time
Everyone edits the same document. You can see who is here now in the header and the Writing panel, and changes arrive live as people type. If two people save the same outline or beat board at once, Scenaloom asks before one version replaces the other.
Public pages and the community
A public script page shows the screenplay formatted as it prints, to anyone with the address and without an account. The owner can also choose Publish to community from the project menu. Readers can then open a copy as their own project with Import as my project, and your original stays untouched.
