Scenaloom AI is an AI script writer and screenwriting assistant built into the editor. It works on the part of the script you choose, reads your story bible and the files you attach, then returns proposals — nothing in your draft changes until you apply a suggestion yourself, so you stay the author.

The Scenaloom AI panel open beside a screenplay, with scope choices for the current line, this scene, a selection or the whole draft
Pick the scope first: the assistant reads only what you point it at, and proposes changes for you to apply.

Choose the scope: a line, a scene or the whole draft

You decide how much of the script the assistant looks at. Each request has a scope: the current line, this element, this scene, a selection, the outline or the whole draft.

A narrow scope suits a line of dialogue that is nearly right. A scene scope suits questions of pacing and tension. The whole-draft scope is for questions that need everything, such as where the midpoint lands or whether a subplot pays off. Scopes are explained in how the AI assistant works.

Every suggestion waits for your approval

You stay the author. Replies arrive as proposals you can read, weigh against your own line and ignore. Applying a change is a separate, explicit step, and every applied change is recorded in version history, so you can see when it happened and restore the earlier text.

AI writing tools for scripts and novels

You get quick tools for the jobs writers repeat. In a screenplay, select a passage and ask for one of these:

  • Rephrase: the same meaning in different words.
  • Tighter: fewer words, same beat.
  • More tension: raise the stakes in the exchange.
  • More visual: turn a stated feeling into something the camera can see.
  • In voice: closer to how this character talks.
  • Subtext: let the line say less than the character means.
  • Custom: your own instruction.

Novel projects have Continue, Rewrite, Describe, Expand, Ideas and Feedback for prose chapters. Examples of each are in AI writing tools.

Advisors: Script Doctor, Beat Structure Coach and more

You can hire one advisor per project to shape how the assistant approaches your story. For series there are Script Doctor and Short-Drama Producer. For film there are Beat Structure Coach, Mythic Journey Guide, Commercial Feature Advisor and Nonlinear Narrative Planner.

A Script Doctor run reads the draft and returns notes. Like every other reply, the notes are suggestions; you choose which, if any, to act on.

A typical pass with the AI script writer

Here is what a request looks like when an argument scene runs long:

  1. Select the scene and choose this scene as the scope.
  2. Ask for Tighter, or write a custom instruction such as "cut the repetition, keep the last line".
  3. Read the proposal next to your own text.
  4. Apply it, or leave it and keep writing. If you apply it and change your mind, restore the earlier text from version history.

Grounded in your story bible and files

You get answers about your story, not a generic one. The assistant reads the Worldview entries you write — logline, core issue, the rules of your world — and the knowledge files you choose to include.

Knowledge files can be .txt, .md, .fountain, .csv, .json, .pdf or .docx, up to 10 MB each, and a PDF can run to 200 pages. A series bible, a chapter of the source novel or a page of research notes all work as reference.

What the AI will not do

Scenaloom AI does not write your screenplay for you, and it does not change your pages on its own. It proposes; you decide. It sees only the scope you give it, your story bible and the files you choose.

Looking for an AI script generator?

In the editor, Scenaloom AI doesn't write the script for you: the script is yours, and the AI works on the part you point it at. To get past a blank page, the free tools give you a starting point:

  • The free AI script generator writes one short scene from your premise, in screenplay format, that you can open in the editor and rewrite.
  • The free plot generator combines a protagonist, setting, inciting incident, goal, obstacle, stakes and twist by genre.
  • The free logline generator turns your answers into a one-sentence pitch in three formulas.
  • In a project, beats from a story structure give you the outline's page targets, and the assistant gives notes on each scene as you write it.

Once a script exists, a video project can turn it into storyboards and generated clips: see the AI movie maker.

How much AI each plan includes

Usage is counted in assistant chats and writing cards each month. The Free plan includes 10 chats and 10 writing cards, and the Writer, Pro, Studio and Studio Max plans include more. Compare them on the pricing page, or open a project and try it on a scene.

Questions

Can AI write a screenplay?

Scenaloom AI is built to help you write a screenplay, not to write one for you. It can propose a tighter line, a more visual action beat or structural notes on a scene, and you choose what goes in. Every change needs your approval and is recorded in version history, so the draft stays yours.

What should I look for in an AI script writer?

Decide first whether you want a tool that writes for you or one that helps you write. If the script should stay yours, look for an AI script writer that works only on the scope you choose, reads your story bible, asks before it changes the page and keeps every applied change in version history. Scenaloom AI is built that way, and the Free plan includes 10 assistant chats a month to try it.

Does the AI change my script without asking?

No. Scenaloom AI returns proposals, and applying one is a separate, explicit step. Applied changes are recorded in version history, so you can see what changed and restore the earlier text at any time. If you never apply a change, your draft stays exactly as you wrote it.

What does the AI see when I ask it something?

Scenaloom AI sees the scope you choose — the current line, this element, this scene, a selection, the outline or the whole draft — plus your Worldview story bible and any knowledge files you have chosen to include. It does not read parts of the project outside that scope.

Is the AI included on the Free plan?

Yes. The Free plan includes 10 assistant chats and 10 writing cards each month, with no card required. Writer, Pro, Studio and Studio Max include more for writers who use the assistant every day. Generating images, video and audio uses credits, which are separate from assistant chats.

What is a Script Doctor run?

A Script Doctor run is a pass in which the Script Doctor advisor reads your draft and returns notes on it. The notes arrive as suggestions in the same way as any other reply; nothing in the script changes unless you apply a change yourself.

Is Scenaloom an AI script generator?

Not in the editor. There, Scenaloom AI proposes rewrites, expansions and notes for the line, scene or draft you choose, and you apply what you want. To get started from nothing, the free AI script generator writes one short scene from your premise, and the plot and logline generators give you a story to build on.
