Scenaloom is online screenwriting software. You write in a page that formats itself — scene headings, action, character cues, parentheticals, dialogue and transitions — and everything else in a project is read from that draft: the outline and beats, the scene board, the characters, locations and props, the storyboards and the production reels.

What we build

  • A screenplay editor whose pages match the PDF it exports, with Hollywood and Asian layouts and automatic (MORE) and (CONT'D).
  • Story structure tools — outline, beats from a story structure, scene board and a story bible — that stay linked to the script.
  • An AI assistant that works on the scope you choose and never changes a line until you apply its proposal.
  • Real-time collaboration with roles, comments and version history, and production views for storyboards, shot lists and video.

How we work

  • The writer decides. Suggestions are proposals; nothing in your script changes without an explicit apply, and every applied change is in version history.
  • Your files stay portable. Scripts come in from Final Draft (.fdx), Fountain and PDF and go out as PDF, FDX, Fountain, Word, plain text, Markdown and CSV sheets.
  • Costs are shown before you spend them. Image, video and audio generation use credits, and the cost appears before you run a job. See plans and pricing and the Credits Policy.
  • Our examples are our own. The six screenplays in the Screenplay Museum were written for Scenaloom to teach one technique each.
