Scenaloom 0.4.0 connects your projects to the AI apps you already use. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other apps that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP) can now read your scripts and novels, propose edits you review, and leave notes, through one screenwriting MCP server at https://scenaloom.com/mcp.

Connect AI apps

  • Add Scenaloom as a custom connector in Claude, an app in ChatGPT's developer mode, or a server in Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code. The setup guide has the steps for each.
  • A consent screen names the app and lets you choose what it may do: read, edit, comment, and, only if you allow it separately, spend credits.
  • Edits are proposed first and applied only after you agree. They merge with collaborators typing at the same time, appear in version history, can be undone, and also show in the editor's AI panel.
  • Comments written by an app carry its name, and nobody is @mentioned without your confirmation.

Your control

  • Connected apps in your account lists each app with its permissions, its last use and a log of what it did. Disconnect one, or all of them, at any time.
  • An app can't spend credits unless you confirm each cost or set a daily limit for it, 500 credits at most.
  • The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service now describe connected apps.

Agent Skill

  • The open source Scenaloom Agent Skill teaches Claude to read before it writes, keep edits small and ask before it spends. Install it as a Claude Code plugin or upload it to claude.ai.
  • The tools reference lists every tool and the permission it needs.
